1. Introduction
Elina Education Oy ("Elina," "we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our online service designed for Early Childhood Education (ECE) professionals. It also outlines your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how you can exercise them.
For any questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy, you can contact our representative responsible for data protection at dpo@elinaedu.com.
2. Data Collection and Processing
Elina collects and processes personal data to provide an optimal experience for teachers and administrators. We process two main categories of personal data:
-
Identified user data: This includes essential information such as names and email addresses used to securely provide individual access to the platform and maintain user accounts for teachers and administrators.
-
Group-level educational content: Elina gathers pedagogical and developmental information exclusively at the group level without collecting individual child data. This group-focused data may include insights into children’s collective interests and activities, supporting tailored educational planning at an organizational level.
We also use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Mixpanel, Microsoft Clarity, and Crisp Chat to improve user experience and Elina’s functionality. We analyze LLM chat content to improve prompts; however, conversation data is not used to fine-tune the Elina model.
We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
